About Emergi
Emergi is building Africa’s clean mobility future, driven by women, solar energy, and smart technology. We operate an electric tuk-tuk fleet through a lease and franchise model, supported by solar charging stations, a ride-hailing app, and a unique social fund for the women drivers. We are currently active in Liberia and preparing to expand into Sierra Leone and other markets.

The Fellowship
We are looking for two ambitious, curious and impact-driven individuals ready to roll up their sleeves and help build the operational backbone of our fast-growing e-mobility company. You will gain hands-on experience in social entrepreneurship, clean energy, and logistics, and grow into a potential leadership role within Emergi.
You will join as a Fellow, embedded in our small but passionate team. One fellow will focus on Liberia (scaling operations), the other on Sierra Leone (setting up a new hub). You will be involved in day-to-day execution while also helping shape the broader strategy.
What You’ll Do
Fellow 1 – Liberia Operations
Support the local team with developing the capacity and systems for:
- Driver onboarding, empowerment and fleet deployment
- Assessing new market opportunities and growing the business case
- Coordinating local charging and maintenance logistics
- Working closely with our women drivers and partners
- Tracking ride data and optimise operational processes
Fellow 2 – Sierra Leone Expansion
Work from our base in Liberia to:
- Scout and set up the new office and local partnerships in Sierra Leone
- Launch operations and hire the first local team
- Map urban transport needs and test pilot routes
- Document systems for franchise replication
Who You Are
- A recent graduate or final-year student in business, development, tech, energy, or social sciences
- Resilient, self-reliant and able to adapt to new environments with a positive and proactive attitude
- Eager to work in West Africa (experience not required — mindset is key)
- Organised, resourceful, humble, and excited to help shape a movement
- Fluent in English; French is a plus
- Committed to women’s empowerment and climate justice
