Emergi Liberia is an e-mobility company. Emergi’s mission is to create social impact and we have recently launched our first fleet of electric kekehs. Using a ride hailing app with mobile money options and working exclusively with women drivers we aim to reduce carbon emissions in Monrovia.We work hard at supporting Liberia in its ambitions towards a sustainable future.
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Technical Engineering Intern to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance, charging station design, and renewable energy solutions. You will work closely with our Liberia team on a variety of projects that support our mission to expand our e-mobility services in Liberia.
Key responsibilities:
- Vehicle Maintenance and Repairs: Assist with the maintenance and repair of our fleet of vehicles, ensuring they are in optimal condition.
- Charging Station Maintenance and Repairs: Support the maintenance of charging stations to ensure reliable operation.
- Support Survey Analysis: Support the collection, analysis, and interpretation of survey data.
- Support Technical Trainings: Provide assistance in organizing and delivering technical training sessions for drivers and stakeholders.
- Support Solar Charging Station Design: Collaborate on the design and development of solar-powered charging stations. Contribute to the planning and design of strategically placed charging locations.
- Support Research and Development (R&D): Engage in R&D activities to innovate and improve existing kekehs and solutions.
Qualifications:
- Strong motivation and a willingness to learn and grow.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or related fields.
- Basic understanding of vehicle mechanics and electrical systems.
- Familiarity with renewable energy technologies, particularly solar power is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Passion for sustainable technology and innovation.
